fun with cousins

Last weekend we drove over to Guntersville to be with Adam's grandmother for her birthday party. Afterwards we went to Sante Fe to eat for Uncle Andy's birthday. The kids discovered the bull out in front. I mean how can you miss it?

We have been so busy with the house. It seems every free minute is spent doing something or going somewhere. Its fun though!!!!

They are insulating this week and hopefully hanging sheet rock.

Precious Moments

Last night me and Ava were sitting on the couch. She crawled over in my lap and wrapped her arms around my neck then said,..."Mom mom I wuv you". OH dear....talk about melting my heart. It was so sweet. One of those moments that make everything negative just go away!!! Then she realized my reaction and said it about 5 more times :)

Everyone have a great weekend!! We have a VERY busy one starting as soon as I leave work. House stuff coming out our ears!!!!!!! But its fun....

4th recap

We had a great 4th of July filled with fireworks, food, and fun!!!!! We spent the afternoon with Friends grilling out. It was so nice. The kids had so much fun. After dinner we all got around a fire and made smores (my idea because I am obsessed with them). They were so yummo. The fireworks ended a great day. The kids were a little scared but in time they all got settled and enjoyed them. Ava was clapping and saying "Stars"!!!

Ava pooped in the potty!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think I have ever been so excited about poo. I haven't really been trying to potty train her. I bought a potty a while back and I talked to her about it. I started putting her on it more lately. The other morning she went a little in the potty. The night before last I was walking through the living room and asked her if she needed to go potty. Of course she would say no but I asked again and she said YES. I took her in there and she sat there like a big girl and went. I was SO surprised!!! It was hilarious. I started screaming and praising her. I yelled for Adam to come see what she had done. Ava says "I wanna see it". I was like ok, and then she said "Shewwww". It was so funny. Yesterday she went 2 times at moms. Last night she told Adam she needed to go and went again. I have never done this before so its all a learning game for me. She might not be potty trained till she is 3 but at least I know she is capable. :)

The shingles and roof are done on the house. I think the electricians finished up today. Next week they are putting in insulation. Its coming right along......

Busy but rewarding week

Last Sunday started revival at our church. It was very good. There is a lot of work and labor that goes into it but its so worth it. I am running on fumes today.....I had to work all week except Tuesday (which was my day to cook/clean). I enjoyed seeing God bless and seeing people that I haven't seen, well probably since revival last year. :) Unfortunately it was cancelled after Wednesday night due to a lady in our church passing away. We all knew she was really bad,and kind of expected her to not make it though the week. We did have one person to give their life to God. It was precious. She is so happy!!!

The house is coming along SO fast. I just want to hug these framers. They are the BEST workers I think I have ever met. They work a long day and then work most Saturdays. They have got so much done since my last post. Its completely framed up, roof on (except shingles), tyvec wrap all around the outside, windows in, and some of the plumbing roughed in. We have so much to pick out and decide. Most of my time away from work is consumed by meeting with contractors, going to Home Depot a million times a day, or looking online for stuff. Its fun though....I am not complaining at all.

This framing process is going faster than I anticipated. I am actually behind on my pictures. We drove over last night. I hadn't been back since last Saturday, so I was surprised how much had got accomplished. We have stairs and the start of a roof :)

Shopping fun

We had a shopping day Saturday followed by the tour of homes. It was sooo hot. We went to Bridgestreet because there were a few stores I wanted to go to. I love that shopping center but it isn't made for hot/cold weather. We scorched. Ava enjoyed going near the water fountains. We ate at that restaurant near the movie theater. I can't remember the name...something Smokey. I don't recommend it. I was disappointed in the food!!!!

Sunday we scorched again at a decoration at Higdon. It was nice seeing all the family though!!

The house is coming right a long. Adam drove over there Friday night just to check it out. He was SHOCKED to find out from lunch till then the whole bottom floor was pretty much framed in. We of course had to go check it out in detail Saturday night. I could actually walk through rooms and picture the end result. It was SO exciting!! Ava has discovered this place we keep going is super fun!!! All she knows is there are a ton of rocks and dirt and sand. She always manages to be completely covered when we leave. I have learned to just leave a box of wipes in the SUV. :)
