A day in the Life..stolen

From my fellow blogger/ Friend Deanna.
I love to see how other people manage their time and spend their days so I love this post idea.

6:20-6:30- My alarm goes off.   Well when Adam is working days I set my alarm and actually wake up around 4:30 or so to make sure he gets up.  By wake up I mean, I turn my alarm off and look over to make sure he is up.  If not I call his name till he gets up :)

6:20-7:20- I get ready, eat breakfast, fix my lunch if I am eating at the office, pack Ava's bag.  I also watch TV or get on my phone if I have any extra time.  Sometimes Ava wakes up and then I let her watch cartoons while I am getting ready.  Most mornings I get her up.

7:20-7:30- I try to leave around this time.  I take Ava to Mom and Dads house.

7:35-8:00 - I try to arrive to work.  I am usually always there by at least 7:45-7:50.

8:00-12 something- work, work , work :)

I take lunch whenever I want normally.  I wait to make sure my coworker up front has took hers.
I normally take my lunch to run errands.  If I don't have errands I go home, eat with Adam when he is off, or just relax in my office.

1 something-4:30- work some more

4:30- get off Work and go pick up Miss priss.

5 ish- get home and start supper, start laundry, clean up, play with Ava, go outside, etc.

I don't have set times to do bath.  We just roll with it.

8:30- I am trying to get Ava ready for bed and things situated.   We have a bad habit of letting her sleep with us.  I started it about a year ago or more when she was sick.  Its been like this ever since.
I have to admit most nights I am so tired I just go to bed with her by 9.  Lately I am trying to put her to bed earlier and stay up to watch my shows or read.  My plan is to get her in her bed and asleep by 8:00 or 8:30 by the time she starts preschool in August.

Random stuff

I thought I would blog about something since its been a while.  Remember me saying Adam's truck broke down?  Well mine did too...kind of.  I went to lunch one day and sat at the park enjoying my nice meal.  Then I decide its time to return, and my car wont' start.  So we find out I had a bad alternator.  Although it kept restarting until I had time to get it fixed.  Thank the Lord!!!!  So we got that fixed and I just still felt it wasn't starting up right.  Adam drove it and said the battery is bad.  So in 2 weeks time we changed out 2 alternators and 2 batteries.  Life huh?  Its easier to complain because those types of things are just kind of aggravating.  But I had to reflect and think we were blessed.  Not only did we have the money to make those repairs, but God allowed neither of us to be stranded or harmed.

I am so excited for the cold weather to go away and the flowers to start blooming.  I am so excited to see all our brand new landscape unfold.  I am obsessed with Hydrangeas and I have 8 of them with tiny buds.  I can't wait to see what color they will bloom!!!!

Fun times at Bridgestreet.

Happy Late Easter!

I started my Easter weekend with having a day off work Friday. I love that my boss observes Good Friday as a paid Holiday off. Love it! Me and Ava had a girls day. We went to eat at her choice and shopped some at Bridgestreet. She enjoyed a cookie and a drum band. She loves music and these guys were getting down. She loved it. I bought a token for the carousel and she refused....oddly enough. I think she thought she had to choose between that and a cookie :)

Adam had bad luck Friday and Saturday. His truck broke down Friday when he got to the entrance of the plant. He was able to get it towed home and fix it himself. (proud of him) He saved us an additional $200-300 labor. Then he left his phone at a gas station on his way home in the tow truck. Thankfully the attendant called me and he went back to get it. Saturday he managed to lock his keys in his truck :) Don't tell him I told. We had a Friend that does stuff like that so he helped us out. Saturday we had to make a trip back to Hville. Adam returned his new phone. He hated it and exchanged it for something else. We ate lunch and went to Bridgestreet again. Ava was still talking about the Drums. They weren't there though. We ate ice cream and she rode the carousel.

The Easter bunny came to see Ava Sunday morning. He brought her some books. I seriously don't go overboard with that. I want Ava to understand the true meaning of Easter. I sat her down Saturday night and told her what Easter meant. It was SO sweet during the church service Sunday morning somebody was up talking about the true meaning of Easter, and she started listening then looked up at me and said what is he saying? I reminded her what I told her the night before. She said "oh yeah", like she remembered. We enjoyed church service followed by an Easter egg hunt. Ava loved it.

Adam started his spring outage last week so it means many hours away from home. He missed Easter this year. I know he hated it. We missed him being there. When he got home we piled up on Ava's bed and told him all about our day and showed him pictures and videos.

The age of Technology

I just had to share. I have an Iphone and most people know the newer one comes with an automated woman named "Siri". You can ask her questions and she will reply....when understood. So I am watching TV the night before last and Ava was playing with my phone. She loves to look at pictures, play games, etc. So I look over and she is holding the phone up to her mouth and holding down the button saying "Tell me the Words". I started laughing so hard. I said are you talking to Siri? She replied yes. I have no idea what tell me the words means but in her little mind she was asking a legitimate question. I think she is referring to the words as her alphabet.

Scares me to think what type of phones or technology will be around when she is old enough to actually have her own phone.
