We had a great small party at the house. The weather was so awesome and the kids played outside a lot. Ava was so exhausted after everyone left. She fell asleep eating a cupcake :)

My Not So Lucky ST. Patricks Day

I am starting to think a little rain cloud is hovering over my head. My computer at work is going nuts and it needs some serious TLC. So the IT guy is taking it over the weekend to clean it out. I feel like its a child or something. I am so nervous. I am so scared come Monday I am going to have even more problems. OH well nothing I can help right?

Then I go to the eye doctor yesterday. Let me rewind...I woke up about a month ago with a pink irritated eye. I thought I just had something in it because in a couple days it was clear again. This has went on since. Some days it was red and then it would clear up. So yesterday my "Oh so dramatic" eye doctor says there is a problem. He said well its one of three things....cornea something, diabetes, or cataracts. UGH....yeah, I am going to freak out when you tell me I might have diabetes or cataracts. Well after much investigation it was the first.....cornea something. Basically I got a virus in my eye or a chemical toxin. There is no way to determine what caused it or anything. I had to take out my contacts and wear glasses. I have to wear them for 3 WEEKS!!!! I am a little embarrassed to say I cried :) ....well not there but last night. I have never step foot out of my house in my glasses. I bought these glasses in the 90s and they aren't something I want to be seen in every day for 3 weeks. Oh well roll with the punches right? I know this is not a big deal to anyone but me, but its my life. Adam said I was over reacting...and I probably am.

Ava's little party is tomorrow!! I am excited.

Happy 2nd Birthday Ava!

Happy 2ND Birthday to my precious baby! Wow, I know its cliche but I can't believe time has went by this quick. In some ways those first few months creeped by. Probably because I was getting next to no sleep. :(
She is so full of energy, hyper, loving, mischievous, stubborn, hilarious. I could go on and on. This kid makes me laugh every day. Then I turn around and want to scream because she refuses to mind. She sleeps all night in her crib. Other than those nights when she is sick....then she sleeps with me. Her favorite foods are mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, fries, yogurt, popcorn, and of course candy of any sort!!!!!!!!! She loves to dance and sing! Her favorite thing is for you to chase her. She could do this for hours!!!!! She will run and hide in the smallest little nook or area....lately that has been beside the pantry door. She gives the sweetest hugs and kisses!!! I love that little girl.

Mom and dad have her today, and they took her to Chuck E Cheese! She has never been so I am anxious to hear about it. Her party is this Saturday, so she will get more presents and cake!!!

2 Years ago today I was in some serious labor pain. I had been having contractions since 11pm the night before. We went to the hospital that first night, but my contractions weren't consistent. They sent me home so right about now I was rolling around in bed trying to get some relief. They say you forget and I can see how you can forget with time.....but I still vividly remember :) I remember sitting in Ava's bedroom rocking and timing my contractions!!! I heard the motion of rocking helped with labor....not sure it helped but you are willing to try anything.

So after 30 hours of labor until I got my epidural, and a total of 41 hours of labor she was born!!! March 16th, 2009 5:30pm.

I can't believe my baby will be 2 years old tomorrow!

We enjoyed such a nice weekend! Ava was feeling much better by Friday. Friday night my dear freind, Sunshine, came over and cut Ava's hair. THANK GOD for her talent. I had somehow managed to make Ava's hair turn into a child mullet. Now it looks ohhh so cute!!!!

Saturday we had Ava's 2 year pictures. They didn't go as smooth as I would hope, but hopefully they turned out good. Ava was tired and not willing to cooperate. I did some shopping the rest of the day. We bough her birthday present.....a doll house that folds up. You know its pretty bad when you have to literally walk around Toysrus to get ideas. Well she has so much!!!! It was so pretty Saturday!!! I enjoyed flip flops!

Sadly we had a death in our church and our services were canceled all weekend. We met Adam's brother and family in Chattanooga for a fun day Sunday. We had lunch then spend the whole afternoon outside. We walked across the bridge, let the kids ride the carousel, had ice cream, and just strolled around. It was awesome! I had to get back last night to go to the funeral home.

Oh and by the way I love the time change! I didn't love it so much when I woke up and it was dark. BUT its worth it when I get home and can go outside to work in my flower beds or play with Ava.

Weekend and Sickness!

Saturday I went to Birmingham to the huge Craft Show at the BJCC. I didn't have a babysitter so I took Ava. NEVER AGAIN!!!! This kid is NOT a good shopper. It was just a hectic day and to top it off it was rainy and messy!! The craft show was awesome. I got some super cute stuff for Ava. I can't believe I didn't buy me anything....well actually I can. Ava was such a handful I barely could shop. We also hit up the Summit. I was so looking forward to Cheesecake Factory and Pottery Barn. The Cheesecake Factory was so yummy! That peice of cheesecake I had was heavenly. I didn't buy anything though!!!! It was a long day and I was so wore out when I got home. I didn't realize I am that out of shape because my whole body hurt!!!
And just a pet peeve I have to mention. Ava was pitching a fit because she had to sit in her stroller at the craft show. I know I am a horrible mom right! So she is starting to scream and cry, and everyone just starts staring!!! I am like HELLO if anyone should have sympathy its a room full of moms! That gets on my nerves so bad. When I see a crying kid I don't stare because I know how it feels. So bless this women, she walks by me and touches my arm and says we have all been there, its ok. I could have cried. Whoever that woman is, I hope the Lord blesses her. She made my day!

Onto the not so great part of my post. Ava started throwing up at 4:30 Tuesday morning. I was up with her the rest of the morning basically. I HATE it when she is sick. I would so rather it be me. Mom kept her yesterday and she threw up most of the morning. She was better yesterday afternoon and we had a good night. This morning though she begged me for milk and I gave it to her. She threw it all up once we got to moms!!! So no more milk! I sure hope its just a 24 hour bug and we are over the worst of it.

Can I press Rewind?

Ever have one of those days where you wish you could go back to the beginning and start over?
I had too much on my brain and had crazy dreams last night, so I woke up with everything on my mind. Actually I woke up to Ava saying "MOM", and crying in her crib.
It was just a morning where I needed my coffee bad! I decided to go to wonderful McDonald's and grab some breakfast. The lady messes up my order and hence my coffee is NOT the way I like it. You just know your day is not going to go as planned when your coffee isn't good. I am very picky about my coffee! I am actually embarrased to say I have come to rely on it too much. Blah, Blah and other small things at work that just perturbed me....BUT its Friday!!!!! I am so ready for the weekend.

I am heading to Birmingham tomorrow for some MUCH needed retail therapy!
Also, Ava's ear infection seems to be clearing up pretty good. So Yay!!!!
