New little School Girl

I just needed to note that Ava has been like a different girl after Christmas break.  I am referring to school.  She no longer cries or gets upset when she is going to school.   I am so proud!!!!  It was hard having her cry daily.  I knew she was ok once she was in there, but still.

She has been learning so much!!!  The other day she was repeating something and I listened harder.  She was saying the Pledge of Allegiance.  I almost cried :)  Yes I did because that just seemed so grown up like. She has been able to spell out a few letters for a while now.  The other day she wrote her name.  I was blown away.  I didn't even know she knew how to write the "V".

Just wanted to share.  I haven't blogged anything in a while.

Exciting News

For those of you who don't understand the message.....We are PREGNANT!!!!
I am due July 25.  I was wanting to make sure everything was ok before I told.  We have already been to the doctor 2 times.    We told our families the weekend before Christmas weekend.  We are so excited and humbled!!!!   Ava is very excited and full of questions :)

Christmas pic catch up

I am behind as usual.  We had a GREAT Christmas.  December was a month of gatherings, family, food, and fun.  We took a trip to Atlanta to celebrate Christmas with Adams family.  Ava has a ton of toys from all the Christmas parties.  And she had a visit from Santa.  She was very excited this year.  We left out milk and cookies.  We also fed the reindeer!!  I love this innocent fun age!!

Christmas Play

This year our play at church was themed "The Grinch".  I love it.  That is probably one of my favorite Christmas movies from childhood.  So I was super excited for the play.  Ava was an Angel Who.  I am biased of course but I thought she was adorable.   This was a milestone year too because its the first year she has actually done her part and NOT cried.  I was sooo proud!!!!!  Yes I was the proud mom in the audience recording every move!!  She was a little taken back in practice when the Grinch came out.....but eventually she got over it.

Another sighting of Santa!!!

Skating in the Park!!!  I love to Ice Skate so it was so important that I take Ava.  I want her to enjoy it like I do.  She did pretty good for her first time.  Its hard to explain to a 3 Year old how to move your feet.  So we just rented this nifty thing.  Thanks to me she got to skate FAST around all night.  I was feeling it the next day.....wheewww...

Christmas Parade.  It was the warmest parade I can ever remeber.  We actually could feel our hands and feet after it was over.  Ava loves it.  She also learned if you say "Merry Christmas" and wave you get more candy :)

Thanksgiving......a little late

Playing Tea Party on Thanksgiving
Ok, funny story.  Mom dropped the Sweet Potato Pie and I had to get a picture.  You don't just waste this pie.  I was like I am eating it off the floor if I have to.  Thankfully the way she dropped it none of it actually touched the floor I don't think.

I know I am SO behind.  I had to post some things to catch up though.  Our Thanksgiving was wonderful.  We have so much to be thankful for.  We ate good food and enjoyed good company!!!  I always wish I would have took more pictures.  I wanted to get a picture of everyone sitting at the dinner table.  OH well.
