One of those days

Yesterday was just one of those days! On a positive note (this might be the only positive thing I say) Ava is feeling better. She woke up yesterday free of fever. Thank God!! I had a dr. appt. in Hville. I had thought I might have to take Ava to the dr. if she wasn't better but thankfully she was.
So I wait in the doctors office nearly an hour and a half before being seen. Thank God dad came with me to help with Ava. He walked her around and pacified her for that long wait. Finally the dr. came in and no more answers like usual. I am scheduled for more tests and prodding. Don't get me wrong I am glad they didn't find anything like the "C" word but I sure would like answers. In addition to all that Adam calls while I am in there with issues at work. So I am stressed for him. Then Akins furniture (who I am bitter at anyways) calls and my dresser is FINALLY in. They only will deliver it Thursday, which is the only day this week I can't be at home. UGH....just small trivial things in the big picture I know!

Today is a new day!!!!

Sick :(

Adam is sick with sinus issues. He didn't feel good all week. I started feeling bad Thursday. My nose is running, I am sneezing, and my eyes are irritated. Then last night when we get to church I notice that Ava is really hot. So I gave her Tylenol and hoped for the best. By the time church was over I knew she was sick. This morning she was burning up and just laying on me. I hope and pray its just teething and not anything serious. The one sure sign that Ava is sick is her being still. :) She sat beside me on the couch for an hour this morning!!!

So revival was great but totally exhausting. That might be why we all don't feel good. We haven't had good sleep and been in and out of hot/cold. The air went out at church Tuesday night and it was AWFUL hot. Wednesday was hot but better, then it was fixed on Thursday.
It was a good week though. I really enjoyed seeing all my freinds, and being in church with everyone.

So today I am washing clothes, taking care of a sick baby, and thinking it might be a good idea to break out the lysol :)

Revival

So revival starts tomorrow at church. For those of you who aren't familiar its a week long full of church services morning and night. Its a lot of fun but exhausting! More importantly its about God giving out blessings. So I probably won't be posting any this week. I will be super busy. We have dinners after morning service and then usually eat again at night :)
Today I have desserts to make, clothes to iron, and a house to finish cleaning. I have worked all week doing a little here and there. Tuesday is my group's turn to cook supper. I have a list of things to make. Plus I am going to work my regular job one day.
If you think of it say a prayer for me....I know I will need it with Ava. :) She is going to be exhausted by weeks end.

Anyways, I hope everyone has a great week!!!!!

OH and HAPPY FATHERS DAY Sunday to my wonderful dad!!!!!!! I love him so much and he has been my rock for 28 years. I know Fathers Day and Mothers Day are hard days for him because both of his parents are gone.

Dr. appt.

Wow, what a difference a few months make. In past months she has taken her shots so well....of course there were tears, but they were almost all dried up by the time we got to the car. Well not the case today. She cried from the time Dr. Patz examined her till well after getting in the car. :(

She is doing good though! Her weight is 19 lbs and 7 oz which is very small but he said that is ok. She is 31 inches tall. We can expect a tall and skinny girl.


She is taking a MUCH needed nap and doing great!!!

15 Months Old

Ava is 15 months old today!!! Tomorrow is her checkup. I am excited to find out her weight and all that jazz. She is in full walking mode....more less running. She is curious as ever and into everything!!!!! She is still picky about what she eats but she is coming around to new things. Yesterday she ate almost a whole grilled cheese. I was so proud!! She is sleeping great all night long and still taking 2 naps a day. Her favorite shows are Dora, Fresh Beat Band, and Yo Gabba Gabba. She loves to snarl her nose and laugh!! She can find her belly button, ear, and nose when asked. She loves outside!!!!!

I tried to download a video of her dancing but stupid blogger wouldn't cooperate!

Already June?

Goodness I can't believe its already June.

Ok, whats been up lately with us? Memorial Day we spent some time with Friends and just relaxed. Adam was off till Friday of last week so we just enjoyed some time together. He did some fishing and we took Ava to the park one day. Friday night I had a girls night out to Olive Garden. I enjoyed that sooooo much. Saturday we had visitors....Paw Paw and Nana Estes. They came over Saturday and stayed the night with us. Ava enjoyed playing and getting all the attention...as always!!! Sunday was church.

I have some random pictures that don't even relate to my post. Sorry! The playground pics are from a couple weeks ago when we took the kids to the church. Then the others are Saturday when I made the mistake of letting Ava have the bag of goldfish. I came into the living room to find goldfish all over my coffee table. She wasn't satisfied till every one was out of the bag. :)

Our Week

Wednesday we had a play day at the church playground. It was sooo hot though. I just couldn't take that heat for a long period of time. Ava had fun though so thats all that matters. We love going there too because its private and you don't have to worry about strangers bringing animals in or people smoking around the kids.
I worked Thursday.
Friday we went to Huntsville shopping with a good Friend. We had such a fun day. Let me just tell you about our lunch experience. This would happen only to me!!! We went to Logans....a place we go a lot. I ordered salad and a sweet potato. I love those!!!! So we had pretty much finished lunch. I ate all my salad, some rolls, and almost all my potato. I take a bite and there is something sharp and foreign in my mouth. I spit it out to find a STAPLE. Yes you read that correct. I was like OH MY GOODNESS. Its a good thing I didn't swallow it but what upset me most is what if I would have gave that to Ava. I sometimes try to get her to eat it with me. So the manager came over and of course apologized and told me my meal was free. He said the potato's arrive in crates and they staple papers to them, so that's the only explanation he could come up with. We had a fun day of shopping though. We both found a lot of stuff. Ava did great too!!
I came home last night and watched Dear John. I have been wanting to see that since I saw the previews. I read the book so I knew what to expect but it was still good. It didn't hurt to know that Channing Tatum was the lead character. LOL! Let me just tell you I cried my eyes out from the beginning. Adam walked in the living room and I had a pile of tissues on the couch beside me. He was like why are you crying when you know whats going to happen. I am like because its sad and I can't help it!!!!!!
So this morning my eyes are still swollen....YES I cried that much :)
I have a busy day ahead. I have desserts to make for our benefit singing tonight at church. Then I have to be down there at 3 to start working my shift. I hope it doesn't rain because its outside. :(
