Ava turns 5!!!!!

 

For Ava's 5th Birthday we went to Spoiled Rockin Kidz.  Its an adorable kid's salon type place.  Yeah, I think I might have liked it just as much as the kids!!!  She got to invite 5 friends!  They got pampered and had tons of fun.  They dress up in cute Princess outfits and get their hair/makeup done.  Then they did a runway show to "Let it Go"  (from Frozen).  There was gifts,cupcakes, and fun!!

Afterwards we went to eat at Olive Garden (one of Ava's favorite places).  Basically because they give you chocolates.

I will leave out the group pictures just because I don't like posting pics of other kids without their parents knowing.

Ok, It Really Snowed

Now I know if any northerners are reading this they are going to laugh.
We got about 1-3 inches maybe on a Monday night into Tuesday morning.  I woke up about 5 something with Liam and it was SOOO gorgeous.  It was that untouched soft fluffy snow.  I could have looked at it for hours.  SO pretty.   This is what I am talking about......

I worked from home this day.  Adam had a horrible time getting home from work.  Thank God he finally made it.  When he got home him and Ava went out to play.  Me and her had went out early morning when Liam took his morning nap.

By the afternoon it all melted :(

 

BUT then Wednesday night it started again....

We woke up Thursday morning to this...

 

 

This time we got about 4-6.  Some areas got more.

We were the crazy family that got out and played in it at 6:30.  I had to go to work or else we might not all have got out that early.  I knew it would melt by the time I got home too.

 

It was Liam's first time out in it.  He was like whatever.....

 

We made snow cream (yes for breakfast), had snow ball fights, and snow angels. 

 

 

 

It snowed

Well a little.  I mean a dusting if that.  We were still excited though.  It melted within a day and Ava was so sad.  I took her out the first night after I got home from work.  She kept saying, "This is the best snow year ever"!!  I have no idea what that meant but I think she was excited.   It was SO cold we couldn't stay outside long. We had a snow ball fight, wrote our names in it, and just played. Who am I kidding, I enjoyed it as much as she did, if not more.  I am crossing my fingers for some more before Winter is over.
Of course I didn't take out little man.  He wasn't feeling good from his shots anyways.

 

 

 

6 Months!!

My little man is already 6 months old.  He is 15 lbs and 3 oz, and 27 1/4 inches long. 

He had his 6 month check up last week.  He got his shots and was a tough little man.  He has 2 teeth on the bottom and two more coming in on the top.  I think that is early.  Ava didn't get her first one till 7-8 months I think.  He is eating baby food great.  He loves carrots, sweet potatoes and apples so far.  He gags with green beans and peas....who can blame him.  He is so ticklish.  I love to make him laugh and smile.  It can totally change my day.  Ava is still obsessed with him.  I love it.  She had to be the one to feed him his first bite.  She thought she was sooo big :)

My Birthday

Ok, behind as usual.

My birthday was wonderful.  Ava and Adam surprised me with a cake when I got home from work one day. It was so special.  They had me special cards, etc.

Me and Adam were able to have a day to do some fun stuff.  Of course since it was my birthday I chose what we did.  We shopped!!!!!!!!!!!!  What else?  I was able to actually shop.  It had been a while since I shopped in a store by myself.  You know where you can actually look through racks and try clothes on.  It was so nice.  We had a great dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Connors.

So cliche but time is flying.  I can't believe I am in my thirties.  I remember being a kid and thinking 30 was SO old.  What was I thinking??  LOL
I am blessed though.
