Vent

Beware this might not be a light hearted fun read. I am aggravated. Now let me begin saying this is very trivial compared to big problems other people are facing. This isn't life shattering or something that i need....This is all about a want I guess you would say.
Some of you may remember that I was ordering us a new bedroom suite. Ok, that was over 5 weeks ago. The sales lady said it would be 3-4 weeks. I called last week to check and the lady said it was suppose to be in the ATL warehouse last Thursday. So I called Monday expecting it to be in by then. Well it wasn't and the lady didn't really have an news. I waited and called yesterday. The lady was like well I never heard back. I told her to call me as soon as she did. Well she called back and said it was bad news. The ATL warehouse didn't expect to get it in till MID MAY!!!!!!!!!! I was beyond upset and aggravated. I mean they should have known this and informed me much sooner. They told me I could get my money back but for what reason. If we went and picked out another set it would probably take just as long to get it in. Not to mention finding another one me and Adam both agreed on.
So we have our king size mattress expected for delivery today. We moved out our old bedroom suite because we thought the new one was on its way. So we are sleeping in the guest bedroom which is growing smaller by the day. I have all my stuff in boxes. Yes being OCD like I am this is all driving me nuts!

On another note.....Ava's eating habits are stressing me out. She is picky to say the least. She only wants goldfish, Cheerios, lil crunchies or bananas. Basically she likes crunchy stuff. She refuses any table food other than french fries. Everyone is like oh give her mashed potatoes or mac and cheese. Nope...she doesn't like that. I have tried crunchy healthy stuff like carrots but she doesn't like that either. Her doctor wasn't concerned at all. He said kids go through stages and I know that.....but I have to find things she will eat.

Ok, vent over! :) To end with something positive. Adam has been off this week and we are enjoying quality time. Plus we are getting alot of things done around the house.

  1. Kyle is picky (lives of off grilled cheese sandwiches, peanut butter and chicken nuggets) I completely feel you- finding what they will eat that seems "somewhat" nutritious is extremely frustrating- I have been buying things that have added calcium/vitamans/etc. to try to make up for what he doesn't get elsewhere (he hasn't drank milk since he was 1)
And the bedroom suite thing stinks!!! I hope you get it in soon!!

  2. I completly understand...Emma hardly eats anything...only drinks her Chocolate Milk..and I know that cant be to good..But she dosen't like plain white milk so I just let her have it. Because I know she gets her vitamins and fat...She is alomost 2 and only weighs 24lbs.(if that) So I know exactly how you feel. I have had to learn to not stress to bad over it. And the bedromm thing...Well, That stinks to say the least...Hope your day gets better.

  3. OML!! I would be beyond upset myself. You definately have every reason to be upset..I hate that for you!! And as far as Ava's eating Logan went thru the same thing and eventually he started eating a little more and now he will eat anything. So maybe things will change. He also went thru the this thing where he would eat nothing unless he could feed him self. I was a little messy but he got better at it and I think that is what changed his eating habuts. Who knows why kids do what they do. I hope all gets better soon!!

  4. I can completely understand your need to vent... I would be MAD if I moved everything out of my bedroom only to wait a couple of months for a new bedroom suite!

And you know I'm right there with you on the food thing. : ) My girls won't touch macaronie and cheese either--I thought kids were supposed to like it?! Have you tried cheese toast? It could be a little cruncy, but still nutritious.

  5. I'll join in - EK won't eat anything unless it comes off of my plate and she can feed it to herself! Her favorites are goldfish, french fries and pizza - healthy?? NOT!! I have the opposite worries - she is SUCH a chunk! I'm already worried about her being TOO big (27 pounds to date - yikes!!) Oh well - Abby was that big too and ate broccoli and carrots like they were candy! To each their own, and to each Mommy something new to stress over!! Welcome to the club!
